New Zealand has experienced skyrocketing violent crime since the justice system started to lower prisoner numbers, and this has raised significant questions around the changed justice system itself.

The major questions are, why and how did it change?

In December of 2019, the report to change the justice system was released. A month later, conservative commentator Elliot Ikilei made a report on this restructure of New Zealand justice.
