Two Icons of Manurewa Refuse Government Mandated Discrimination

As the government continues to mandate discrimination starting this Friday, two more eateries have publicly declared that they will not engage in the government mandate to discriminate against customers based on vaccination status.

This is from Jax Burger Shack, formerly Smokys in Manurewa that was an iconic burger store attracting loyal customers from around the Auckland region. They have now set up in Botany Junction, 2 Bishop Lenihan Place, beside The Cheesecake shop. The burgers are widely regarded as delicious, full and excellent value-for-money:

“Dear Jax family,

We’ve had a rollercoaster first year of business! From opening in Level 3, to having our first birthday in Level 4 & everything in between… here we are. Still standing. Still smiling. Strong because of EVERYONE’S support. Now it’s our turn to support EVERYONE in return.

Come Friday 3 December, you will ALL remain WELCOME & be TREATED EQUALLY at our establishment.

We will not be asking you to disclose your vaccination status or show us your passport. We refuse to partake in any form of segregation or discrimination at our store.

– Jax Burger Shack is our business.

– Your medical history is your business.

We will continue operating in a contactless manner, following the strictest hygiene measures to ensure the safety of everyone.

Regardless of whether you agree or not, thank you in advance for respecting our decision. We hope you can continue to support us during these uncertain times”

Part of the team at Jax Burger Shack are consistently busy with an assortment of burgers, desserts and sweet drinks

The other Manurewa icon publicly stating that they will treat all people equally is AngieLatte Cafe & Catering Services. And owner Angela Anderson doesn’t just ensure that her customers are fed well and with excellent prices, she also happens to be a significant community worker. The Daily Examiner has discovered that AngieLatte has provided the homeless with free cups of hot chocolate, coffee over the years, with the government lockdowns interfering in that. Mrs Anderson also runs the Elim South Soup Kitchen which has been a hub of support, nutritionally, spiritually and socially for years. From AngieLatte:

“Talofa all ..

Just want to say thank you soo soo much for your kind support & it’s come to a decision from my heart & thru prayers that:

This Friday Angielatte will Not participate in the Governments new traffic light system. Meaning I will never ask you about your personal medical decisions or to see your vaxx passport so I will be closed Friday 3rd December and from Saturday 4th December on, we will be setting up our cabinet and till at the door and offering only takeaways only!

We will be starting with a Tuesday to Saturday as our operation days and seeing how things go for Angielatte…My heart is for the people, how can I turn away a homeless or a person in need who doesn’t agree with the vaxx.. this is the right decision for my cafe.. my heart is to not turn anyone away.. God gave us Life & everyone is equal..

“Don’t Divide Us’☝️❤️

Regards much with lots of Love❤️
