Today in Aotea Square, New Zealand witnessed some of the most alarming displays of antisemitism since the Hamas terror invasion slaughtered over 1,400 Israeli citizens, including children and the elderly.

Co-leader of the Greens, Marama Davidson, described herself as a ‘peace activist’ before launching into a speech filled with anti-Israel rhetoric. She also repeated her self-titled ‘peace activist’ throughout.

Marama Davidson has often found herself in embarrassing, disproven allegations and gaffes, such as stating that most New Zealand violence is committed by ‘CIS, white men’, being unable to answer basic policy questions in interviews, attempting to ‘claim back’ the expletive c-word, trying to defend a noted lack of work ethic and more.

Ms Davidson first described Israel’s relationship with Gaza as ’75 years of oppression, of inhuman occupation’ before proclaiming the Israeli attempt to battle Hamas and rescue their 200 kidnapped men, women and children as ‘genocide’. Some have noted that she attempted to emulate Dr Martin Luther King Jr.’s speech style; however, it seemed to be a somewhat clumsy attempt, with multiple examples of inaccurate allegations being claimed, along with saturating her allegations with apparently unironic usages of terms such as ‘violence’, ‘genocide’, ‘terror’. She even labelled the latest operation to rescue civilians and target terrorist leadership as ‘genocidal’, stating that it was a ‘blatant attempt at annihilation of an entire people’. After more rhetoric, Ms Davidson described the Israeli operations as ‘terrors’.

It was also observed by many that Ms Davidson repeatedly referred to ‘Palestinian children’ while omitting the hundreds of Israeli children targeted and murdered by Hamas terrorists, which has led to significant concerns around growing antisemitism in New Zealand.

Ms Davidson then pointed to several protestors, proclaiming them as ‘Jewish people for peace’, standing against ‘the State of terror’, that is, Israel. Finally, Ms Davidson shouted, ‘Damn you, Biden, damn you, European Union,’ which appeared to put the feverish mob into an alarming level of zeal, somewhat similar to recent protests publicly calling for Jews to be hunted, mothers and daughters to be raped, and more.
