An extraordinary teaser has been sweeping through independent channels and media. With wide-ranging footage of what happened inside and outside of parliament, as well as the journey to Wellington, the 12 minutes offered articulate New Zealanders’ extraordinary depth and unity.

The teaser starts with a powerful quote by one of the only conservative politicians in Parliament, Simon O’Connor, speaking on the COVID-19 Public Health Response bill:

This is the most anti-democratic piece of legislation being put before this parliament. I repeat it again, it is anti-democratic, it is against the values of this democracy, this parliament, our constitutional sovereignty, it is against the principles of law and thics.” Simon O’Connor

River of Freedom is a feature documentary in production about Convoy NZ and the Parliament Protest during February and March 2022.

It tells the story of who the people were, why they were protesting, and what happened.

We are a collective of professional filmmakers who support inalienable human rights, the freedom to choose and media without censorship.

We need funding to complete the post-production.
