Pfizer Admits Vaccine Not Tested For Prevention Of Transmission

By Victoria O’Brien

Pfizer Head of International Developed Markets Janine Small stated at a European Parliament hearing earlier this week, that its covid vaccine was not tested for prevention of transmission prior to its release.

Appearing in front of the European Parliament’s Covid committee on 10 October, Ms Small stood in for Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla to answer questions on vaccine deals that had been struck by the EU. Mr Bourla had pulled out of testifying at the end of September.

Dutch MEP Rob Roos specifically questioned Ms Small on whether Pfizer’s covid vaccine had been tested for prevention of transmission prior to its market release. Ms Small answered that it had not due to the “speed of science”. A video of the session has been published by Mr Roos.

An OIA response from the NZ Ministry of Health in September 2021 stated that the NZ Government were already aware that the Pfizer product had not been tested for transmission.

The institution of vaccine mandates in many countries was initially predicated on the effectiveness of the vaccines in reducing transmission and severity of illness. In the absence of pre-release data on transmission, questions must now be asked of the governments of the world as to the basis for their confidence at the outset, that the vaccines limited transmission.
