As the fallout continues across the nation from the Labour government’s ‘no jab, no job’ policy, poignant testimonies continue to be shared and supported across social media.
Papanui High teacher and Dean Joe Holland stood outside of the school he served for years, waiting to personally farewell his students.
His wife, Shirley Holland, made sure that she covered the event, making a powerful video and writing the following:
“It was Joe’s Year 13 students last day at school today.
He couldn’t be in class with them, so he stayed outside and met his students when they finished at 12:30pm.
He has been with these students for the last 5 years. Each one of them means so much to him.
He wishes them a bright future and to have the courage to make their mark on the world.“
