A supporter alerted us to a disturbing example of the media seemingly working in collusion with the Government this morning.
On the left is the early version of a story which has an explicit quote from the Minister of Education which refers to teachers “who are not fully vaccinated between now and the end of the year, and need to have a weekly test until they are fully vaccinated.” (in yellow block)
Within 2 hours, the political editor has removed those key paragraphs (version on the right). Yes – removed a quote (not an opinion or a editorial summary, but a direct quote).
There is no acknowledgement of the change.
There is no reason for the change.
Most importantly, there is no questioning of the change.
